Head of School
Mrs. Dorothy Amorella is our Head of School. She studied at DePaul University, and later for five years under the Servant of God, Fr. John Hardon, SJ. She was the coordinator of the religious education program at a Chicago parish for 20 years, in addition to serving as their First Holy Communion catechist. A speaker on childhood character development, Mrs. Amorella has been a consultant to the Archdiocese of Chicago on content review for new catechetical textbooks, a delegate to the Archdiocese’s Women’s Commission and Pastoral Committee, and a field advocate for the metropolitan tribunal. Mrs. Amorella also brings teaching experience to Neumann, having taught a combined kindergarten/first grade class at an independent Catholic school in Park Ridge, Illinois and having homeschooled her nine children from 1985 to 2012.
